And since I've been having so much fun, I'm thinking I should try to make a career of this work. But I need help figuring out what career this is. Can you help?
The work: redeveloping our organization's website. I've been working with our vendor (Clockwork) and staff to transition enormous amounts of content into our brand-spankin'-new CMS (w00t).
Things I've been doing and loving:
- Working with a lot of different people
- Connecting moving pieces
- Figuring out solutions to complex content problems: What are we trying to say? Where was it on the old site? Did it make sense there? Where would it make more sense? How can we say it more concisely? Will people be able to find this?
- Carrying out the solutions I find - there's a huge amount of joy in thinking, "This might work," then doing it, then seeing it in all its new-found glory. LOVE that.
- Working really, really fast
- Having meetings (I know overdoing it can cause frustration, but it's a huge improvement from my previous role of sit-at-desk-all-day-every-day)
I appreciate any help and guidance anyone is willing to provide. Thanks friends!
