Minnesota State Fair

For those who are unaware, the Minnesota State Fair is one of the greatest moments of humanity. Allow me to paint a picture:
• Greasy food.
• Sweaty crowds.
• Greasy food.
• Sweet food.
• Greasy food.
• Beer.
• Greasy food.
• Cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep.
• Greasy food.
• Horses, turkeys, rabbits, and geese.
• Greasy food.
• Vendors.
• Beer.
• More vendors.
• Greasy food.
• Rides.
• Bottomless cup of milk.
• Greasy food.
• Beer.
• Lines.

So basically, it is one of the greatest places in the world. It is pretty much a celebration of everything I am fundamentally against in life. And because of that, I love it. I really, truly love the State Fair. Against all reason.

But the State Fair aside, I wanted to let all of my devoted followers know that I apologize for the lack of posting this summer. I've been waiting for something I'm proud of to show up on rooftop. Or anything at all, really.

I haven't been on stage for more than a month now. After going through a move and getting sick a couple of times, I think I may have missed too many weeks and blown my chances. I have been showing up but not getting put on the list.

I hope to start trying some new open mics once the flurry of Minnesota summer dies down. But for now I have to ride the wave of activity and good weather while it lasts. I am also still getting used to living with someone (in sin!) and find myself constantly pressed for time.

But I am working out these bugs and hope to have some new material to share before too long. Thanks for hanging in there!
